The Children's Self Defense class is based loosely on Hapkido and Kuhapdo training, and is called Jungki MuSa Do, or "Way of Rightous Warrior Spirit". Because Hapkido is too hard on the body before the age of 18, the Jungki MuSa Do program is designed to teach children a real world self defense program, combined with the discipline and structure brought about through sword training. Since Master Sogor has an educational background, BA in Child Development and Education, and years of in classroom time with children from ages 6 - 18, he is able to bring true leadership into the program that children will respect and follow - while reinforcing the core values that all parents are instilling in their kids. Classes are 50 minutes long, and all students are expected to own a uniform after the first month of classes.

Why Choose This Program?
Master Sogor has been teaching children for decades, and combined with a formal academic teaching background, is uniquely qualified to instruct children. Believing that competition is already too much a part of most children's life, Master Sogor's Children's Martial Arts Program is designed to give children the strongest foundation of self defense and self confidence. Working closely with parents is also a very important part of the program, making sure that all the goals that parents are setting are being accomplished outside of the dojang.
The class size in each program is also going to dictate how important each child's development is to Master Sogor. Each of the age groups will only have a maximum of 20 children. Once that number is reached, enrollment will be closed. The program is designed to be smaller so that each child gets individual attention, which will enhance the learning environment and provide for a strong bond with the program.
Belt Gradings and Evaluation
Each Program has 10 colored belt levels from White Belt to Junior Bleack Belt. It is important that children learn the material and attend classes regularly, but no child will be given the oppprotunity to advance if they are not ready.
Each belt rank costs $20, and comes with a certificate and either a new belt or chevron for the uniform. All Junior Black Belts will be registered with the Jungki Kwan in Korea.
